ABOUT US

Stealing the Bloom Farm Co. was established by first-generation farmers Matthew and Heidi. The farm grew from their shared dream — and years of labour and love — to create a place where family and friends could reconnect with nature, enjoy farm-fresh produce, and experience the joys of rural living. Today, Matthew operates the farm independently.

The farm’s name was inspired by a passage Heidi discovered in William Ellis’s The Modern Husbandman, Vol. 4. The phrase “stealing the bloom” describes those fortunate occasions when ideal environmental conditions caused crops to bloom rapidly, with the blossoms seemingly overtaken almost overnight by developing fruit—a sure sign of a plentiful harvest.

MATTHEW

From being the primary caretaker of our animals to being the general contractor and handyman of the farm, Matthew brings life to our collective vision for Stealing the Bloom Farm Co..

HEIDI

From designing the gardens to creating the welcoming atmosphere of the farm stand, Heidi played an integral role in shaping Stealing the Bloom Farm Co. from its earliest days, helping to lay the foundation for the farm as it exists today.
